Process documentation simple and centralized

The ProcessDocumenter, based on the maguro DataAssist visPart technology, allows the user to quickly and simply create a process portal based on the Microsoft SharePoint technology. This centralizes company's process documentation and related information in a single source called the Process Information Source. This includes all external files, additional documentation, work descriptions and texts. The central storage repository makes corporate knowledge available to every user in the organization quickly with permission-based role security.

Our solution provides all functions to create manipulate and store process diagrams. Microsoft Visio is used as the graphics engine, encapsulated through our visPart technology in a SharePoint Web part. A minimum installation of Microsoft Visio on the client machine is sufficient

Data is mapped

The internal process data is stored in invisible SharePoint lists and can be evaluated through predefined reports.

Custom reports are available on request. In addition we are able to replicate the data to a SQL server database. This allows the creation of any kind of report through the use of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting services.

visPart: product technology for the encapsulation of Microsoft Visio in a SharePoint Web part

ProcessDocumenter leverages the visPart product technology. Through visPart, Microsoft Visio is encapsulated in a SharePoint Web part, providing full range of Visio functionalities inside a SharePoint Web part.

You can switch dynamically or by configuration between the Visio Drawing Control (full Visio functionality) and the Visio Viewer Control (view and print only – no changes possible). Microsoft Visio must be locally installed on the client computer of the user. To use the DataGraphics™ functions, Microsoft Office Visio 2007 must be installed. This is used for the visualization of mandatory information in the Shapes.
